‘One farmer says to me, “You cannot live on vegetable food solely, for it furnishes nothing to make bones with;” and so he religiously devotes a part of his day to supplying his system with the raw materials of bones; walking all the while he talks behind his oxen, which, with vegetable-made bones, jerk him and his lumbering plough along in spite of every obstacle.’
Henry David Thoreau
from Walden in the chapter named ‘Economy’
You have such a vibrant way of expression I love it

Hmm, yes, all the wolves and the lions and tigers and bears (oh my) will go hungry from now on… well, maybe not bears.. but tigers and lions??.. let us tell them what they are missing. š
Thoreau also (hadn’t) said “”I ask for, not at once no non-veg, but at once a better veg. That veg is best which is veg not at all; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of veg which they will have”
Aarrghh!! I stand Thoreau-ly discredited with that bit of goofy satire.. never mind me, go back to your grass-munching š

I think you might be misunderstanding me – when I talk about a plant-based diet I mean for plant-eaters, not for natural carnivores. Or were you joking again?

Yep… I am sorry, not always so exuberant.. but just being an ass as I mentioned š (And hey, asses are vegetarian, no discrimination please)..
I really like your blog and while I am not joking now, I can assure you, I would always support your thoughts and admire your posts. On a serious note, yes I am not completely vegan or vegetarian, but I admire your stand and your beliefs. Don’t mind my infrequent nonsense. I don’t always go overboard with my comments š
