How to make Mildred and the Girl Scout twins rag dolls!

How to make a vegan superhero rag doll.

I followed the pattern from this youtube video:

How to sew a doll by hand – YouTube by Root and Stitch. She also has videos of how to make rag dolls with a sewing machine. I chose to cut the legs off the pattern and sew them on separately.

How to make a vegan superhero rag doll.

*

Following the pattern I downloaded from Root and Stitch, I chose the colours of fabric that I needed for Mildred’s face, top and dungarees, and cut them out to fit the pattern generously.

And sewed them together.

Fold it in half (right sides together) and sew, leaving an open end to add stuffing.

*

Turn it right side out. 😀

Then stuff with kapok.

I cut out a generous piece of fabric for the hair on the back of Mildred’s head, and pinned it to make it tidy. And cut out two half-circles for the hair on Mildred’s face.

For Claudia’s hair, I used yarn. I stitched it on down her centre parting, all the way down the back of her head, and then added more stitches either side of her head, to hold her hair in position.

I think that’s enough

Continuing our vegan detective story from yesterday: Sherman and Geynes (pretend detectives) and the ghost of the wall that didn’t have a door in it anymore:

Vegan pretend Detective Geynes: I think that's enough detective work for one day." Sherman: "I agree. It's time to write our report."
Report: "While our investigation has been fruitful, we have decided that the ghost in this wall is invisible. And doesn't want to talk about anything but mountains and hedges. And maths."
Geynes: "Who do you think you'll send it to?"
Sherman: "To the local historical society, they will want to put up a plaque."
Geynes: "Don't forget to mention the pirate diver and the tool rearranging ghost."
Sherman: "Oh, I won't."
Geynes: "So, what do you wanna do now?"
Sherman: "Let's go to the beach."
The end.
Sherman and Geynes (pretend detectives) and the ghost of the wall that didn't have a door in it anymore, vegan comic story for children and adults who like funny characters that don't eat meat or animal products of any kind. Animals are not ours to eat, wear or experiment on. Thank you.

Cryptic psychic painting

Continuing our vegan detective story from yesterday: Sherman and Geynes (pretend detectives) and the ghost of the wall that didn’t have a door in it anymore:

Detective Sherman: "From the ghost?! What does it say?"
Detective Geynes: "Well, we have to interpret the message, it looks like, a mountain, in a hedge, with a division symbol."
Sherman: "Oh. So ... the ghost is telling us ... what is she telling us?"
Geynes: "Her mountain is divided?"
Sherman: "Maybe..."
Geynes: "Are we sure the ghost is a she?"
Sherman: "I don't know."
Geynes: "Well anyway, whether she's a he or a she, the ghost is not talking sensibly."
Sherman: "Yes, she or he is being very cryptic."
Geynes: "Perhaps she just doesn't want to talk to anybody."

Funny vegan detective comic cartoon story for children of all ages. And adults of all ages too! Vegan characters to know and love.

Any witnesses of invisible ghosts

Continuing our vegan detective story from yesterday: Sherman and Geynes (pretend detectives) and the ghost of the wall that didn’t have a door in it anymore:

Sherman: "Of course! We won't find any witnesses of invisible ghosts. We need to find other means of ghost detection."
Geynes: "How can we measure invisible ghost activity? Maybe we should get some tools, and arrange them next to the wall, and then the ghost might move them!"
Sherman: "Just like in the cricketer's story? I don't think all ghosts would do that, that was probably an anomaly."

Come back tomorrow for the next part of the story!

Or, if you don’t want to wait, you can read the whole story here, right now. 😀

Continuing our vegan detective story from yesterday: Sherman and Geynes (pretend detectives) and the ghost of the wall that didn’t have a door in it anymore:

Ravi: "Oh hi Anish! I was just telling them my ghost story."
Anish: "Well don't! We're playing cricket."
Ravi, Sherman and Geynes: "Sorry."
Ravi: "It won't happen again, I promise."
Anish: "Thank you, goodbye Herman and James."
Detective Sherman: So, we've got a ghost who likes to rearrange equipment,"
Detective Geynes: "And a ghost who guards treasure."
Sherman: "But we aren't any closer to solving the mystery of the ghost of the doorway in the wall that isn't there anymore."
Genes: "You mean the mystery of the wall that doesn't have a doorway anymore."
Sherman: "Precisely."
Geynes: "Maybe there isn't a ghost in this particular wall."
Sherman: "Well, let's not jump to any crazy conclusions."
Geynes: "Hahaha, well, we did say it must be an invisible ghost."

There was a clap of thunder

Continuing our vegan detective story from yesterday: Sherman and Geynes (pretend detectives) and the ghost of the wall that didn’t have a door in it anymore:

Ravi: "He was just arriving upon the co-ordinates of the x-marks-the-spot, when there was a clap of thunder! And a ghostly pirate diver appeared in the darkness."
Degan: "Ooo, scary!"
Ravi: "The ghost told him that the treasure was cursed, and that everyone who ever dug it up vanished without a trace, or died mysteriously. So! There you go!"
Sherman: Oh! Is that the end of the story? What happened to Morton?"
Ravi: "Aha, well, Morton lived to tell the tale, so he was lucky."
Morton: "That's a relief!"
Pirate diver: "Yeah."
