No pork, no fish, no chicken,
Now people think I’m trippin’

But I stay well fed off the fruits and the veg

I care about the animals and the environment
I care about my health, if it ain’t vegan I ain’t buyin’ it.
I care about the planet, if it dies then we gon’ die with it.
People hating veganism without even trying it.
It is not a diet, if you think it is then you are wrong,
It’s a way of living where we’re choosing to reduce the harm
That we cause to others, not only those in the human form.
‘Cause humane slaughter’s about as real as a unicorn.
But if a unicorn was real he’d be hunted and then killed
By people so they could steal
The horn from his head.
The food that you’re fed
Isn’t food, it’s an animal who’s born to be dead.
Bred to be murdered
Just for a burger.
When you order meat, pain and suffering’s what they serve ya.
Dairy’s no better, actually it may be worse.
Go vegan but first go and do your research.

I’m not vegan, but I simply don’t like beef. In that regard, I’m like vegetarian. I cannot imagine eating beef.
Even less I like the so-called plant-based meats which are the most processed product ever and it has practically only very distant memories of any plant, whether soy beans or peas. It’s literally lab-based.
I think when somebody doesn’t consume animal products, they should not go for extremely processed stuff either.
However, I personally think that nothing can replace the natural DHA which comes from sea and animal foods and is crucial for the human brain. I do also associate the epidemic in Alzheimer’s and other types of memory loss and brain degeneration with the diets which have denied fat consumption, especially, animal fat consumption for many decades now. We had never that many dementia and early memory loss cases ever before.

Of course highly processed food is not healthy. “The ideal human diet looks like this: Consume plant-based foods in forms as close to their natural state as possible. Eat a variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, beans and legumes, and whole grains.” wrote T Colin Campbell, PhD, in The China Study. But plant-based “meats” were not invented as a health food, they are a transition food for those who like the taste of meat but don’t want to cause suffering. 🙂
