Going for a bike ride. Here’s one I made earlier ๐
Theย Sustransย website will tell you all about theย National Cycle Networkย in the UK which โis a series of traffic-free paths and quiet, on-road cycling and walking routes, that connect to every major town and city. ย The Network passes within a mile of half of all UK homes and stretches over 14,000 miles across the UK.โ
They also have a shopย where you can buy maps, books, clothes and accessories etc, although you might have a good cycle shop in your own neighbourhood where you can get everything you need; or, even better, check out the second hand shops and the shops ofย animal-friendly charitiesย and re-use something someone else doesnโt need any more (for a fraction of the price).

This is awesome…makes me want to go for a bike ride! And what a great way of organizing to support cyclists. I wonder if there is something similar in the US?

Thank you ๐ It had that effect on me when I reblogged it, so I went for one ๐

I’m a walker rather than a cyclist, but the Sustrans network is marvelous. We are fortunate to be very well served with cycling/walking paths in our area, especially with all our old railways – the steam trains they were originally built to carry were beautiful to look at but cycling really is the modern (climate-friendly) way to travel ๐

Love this! And great to give publicity to Sustrans. I don’t think too many people know about it x
