The vanishing man at the Post Office – vegan children’s comics

Episode 1 of Sherman and Geynes continues from yesterday:

Sherman and Geynes walk along, discussing the particulars of the case, the disappearance of the imaginary person, Galfridus Luff. They make their way to the Post Office, to question the witnesses. Detective Geynes queries how they could possibly question witnesses about a man Sherman made up. Sherman tells Geynes to trust him.

Sherman and Geynes go into the Post Office, Sherman says "Greetings, we are Detectives. Can we have a moment of your time?" He shows the cashier a picture of Galfridus Luff, and says "Have you seen this man?" the cashier points out that it is a watercolour painting. Sherman gives him a few more details of the case, but they do not make any progress with their investigation.

An alchemist or a wizard – vegan children’s comics

Episode 1 of Sherman and Geynes starts today:

Sherman shows Geynes his drawing of detectives, and says that he wants to pretend to investigate a the disappearance of an alchemist. And Geynes wants to know what an alchemist is. Sherman explains that alchemists take ordinary things and turn them into extraordinary. Like turning steel into gold.

They decide to get into character, and so their appearances change. They picture themselves dressed in waistcoats with ties, and detective hats. They leave the vegan penguin cafe, and set off to find out as much as they can about their missing person. He is an imaginary missing person, so Sherman decides things as he goes along. He tells Geynes that the missing person's name is Galfridus Luff.

Pretend detectives – vegan children’s comics

Episode 1 of Sherman and Geynes starts today:

Sherman and Geynes walk along and discuss Sherman's idea for a mystery novel, and then they go into a cafe called the Vegan Penguin, to gather knowledge, because, as Sherman tells Geynes, "Novelists spend a lot of time in cafes,"

Sherman and Geynes discuss the idea of pretending to be the characters in Sherman's story, and then they order their food. Geynes orders vegan chocolate cake, and Sherman has vegan pineapple fritters and ice cream.

Picture? I want to see the picture! I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow when the story continues. Or I could look at it here now 😀

Miranda at Loving Hut Belgium!

So here I am at Loving Hut in Belgium!

Tammy and I thought this was a fantastic place! With fair trade organic lemonade! And chocolate sponge cake!

We had cake first, of course, and this was fantastic. Mmm tasty 🙂

And then it was time to try the Loving Hut burger! This was delicious in a toasted sesame bun with vegan cheese and gherkins and onion slices 😀

Here is a painting from inside the Loving Hut – it says “The best way of life, is the veggie way”

I visited the Loving Hut several times during my stay in Leuven. I went back for chocolate chip cookies, more cake, and on Thursday I tried the Broccoli pasta met champignons en roomsaus! Which was absolutely brilliant! I loved it! Unfortunately by this time in the week my camera battery had run out, so I couldn’t take a photograph. I did draw a picture of it:

I have been on holiday to Leuven in Belgium! I chose to visit Leuven because I discovered that they have a Loving Hut. After arriving I was ecstatic to find that they also have Vegaverso a vegan cafe, Greenway a vegetarian cafe, and Shavt which is a vegan food shop!

Here I am at Vegaverso, vegan cafe in Leuven, Belgium!

This is a wonderful cafe which serves a delicious and tasty selection of vegan sandwiches and cakes!

It took me a while to decide what to have, there is so much to choose from!

I had a peanut butter and jelly cupcake, a vanilla cupcake and a chocolate cupcake, on different visits! They were all delicious and beautiful!

I also tried a chocolate coconut macaroon, and an oat cake, which were fantastic!

This is what I had on my first visit to Vegaverso! It was the most scrumptious food you will ever taste! I had vegan cheese with vegenaise and a blueberry cupcake! It was wonderful!

The menus there all have different, individually embroidered fabric covers! They are so special and lovely 😀

If you live anywhere nearby, and even if you don’t, I strongly recommend you make a visit to Vegaverso.

They are open Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm. You could go now!

I had a wonderful time at this cafe, it is run by friendly people and has a relaxing, happy atmosphere. Brilliant 🙂 Try the chocolate coconut macaroon.
