  3. I just made a killer oyakodon alongside a chik’n curry. All meatless. Not bragging. Just thought it odd that you would like a post of mine after I created the most satisfying meal of my year.

Buddhist, here. Never even tasted meat. And I thoroughly enjoyed this post.

  6. You’re one of few bloggers who read and seem to appreciate my stuff, and with ALL else you do besides. I just read your “Like Any Other Mother” and “Let the Dogs Out” (tears over both of them) and realize you have a huge amount of quality writings and illustrations in here…everything you do is immensely valuable. Count me as another fan, even though I have no kids. I wrote kids’ animal-rights fiction back in the 1990s and it was a rewarding experience even though publishers didn’t like the messages. Yours is a way to bypass those people entirely and just get your positive creativity out there, and without using all that paper. And you do it so well! Thank you so much for even coming to my page at all πŸ™‚ Much love & respect from Laura

    • Thank you so much Laura for your encouragement and support. Do you think you might publish your children’s stories on your blog? We are lucky these days to have the opportunity to self-publish without the need for any one else’s approval and reaching out to each other in this way is very encouraging and enlightening. I mean, probably most of us have, at one time or another, felt alone in this fight for animals and the planet because we’re the only one at school/work/family who feels that way, but then we step into the blogosphere and realise just how many of us there are and it really gives us hope! Thanks again Laura, so glad to have made your acquaintance πŸ™‚

      • Yes I’m continually heartened by all the very expressive animal lovers on the web, all over the world. We need all of us on board and ZERO of those other type, of course. And about publishing my kids’ stories on my blog? I’ve thought about it but sort of got burnt out on fiction writing way back then and prefer non-fiction, opinion pieces and such. But the possibility’s always there to get the fiction bug again, and if I do, will use the blog, either for old or new stuff. But you’ve done such a great job of that, so it’s easier to just recommend your site πŸ™‚

  7. I had to stop looking at your blog today, the pictures of the birds and Turkey were too much for an honest hard working cat who is a vegan at heart and is forced to be an carnivore by the tinned cat food industry.

I thought I would follow you and see if I can see some books with cats in them as I visit more often, hope you don’t mind.

    Purrs,
    The Cat
