This morning, just before the Queen’s Speech, Greenpeace activists arrived at David Cameron’s very own home and set up a fracking site.
David Cameron today used the Queen’s Speech to launch his plan to change the law. He wants to rob us of our right to stop fracking firms drilling under our homes.
To do it, he’ll have to get the majority of MPs to vote for the plan. But lots of MPs are already unsure about fracking, especially in their own constituencies.
We’ve launched an emergency petition to MPs. If they hear from thousands of their voters that we want them to vote against David Cameron’s plan, they will start to understand what a backlash they could face.
See HERE for info about fracking. It scares the hell out of me!
Click HERE to sign the petition. Before it’s too late. Thank you.
It’s terrifying. Fracking is just… Just why!!? They know it’s bad, so many bad things have happened already.

I know, it beggars belief. Even if it wasn’t dangerous – which it so clearly is – it is no long term solution. Why aren’t they concentrating their efforts on renewables and low-energy buildings and gadgets? Where we live at the moment is so well insulated that we rarely need to put the heating on in the winter. This is the kind of thing they should be concentrating on. Thanks for your comment.

I live in the United States, and fracking is a problem that worries me. Despite the denials that it contributes to earthquakes, I cannot believe that it doesn’t. Again, it is putting greed ahead of safety.

Absolutely. They should be concentrating on reducing our energy needs and using renewables. Why can’t Governments think ahead???? (Rhetorical Question)
