Don’t forget to wave

Prompted by our new and exciting interest in growing our food we’ve found something garden-related for you to enjoy πŸ™‚

And if, after that, you’re feeling inspired, as we are, to indulge in some forest gardening, take a look at this gem of a blog I found yesterday –Β Of Plums and PignutsΒ – it’s choc full of inspiration. Β This postΒ in particular gives you that “anything’s possible” excitement that makes you want to just get out there and do it! πŸ˜‰

We remember the Herb Garden πŸ™‚ Thank you for the trip down TV’s Memory Lane of good children’s programmes this week Violet πŸ™‚
We use lots of herbs. I am just about to sow some more Parsley. Even in our tiny back yard I always find space to grow various ‘weeds’ to eat. We currently have Bitter Cress, Nettles, Wood Sorrel and Garlic Mustard. Our Peppermint has grown on from a cutting taken last summer. I love growing things – our first lettuces of this year ‘hatched’ a couple of days ago πŸ™‚

I’ve never cooked with herbs – ever! After such a glowing recommendation I’ll have to have a go at growing them so I can have some fun adding them to things. Thanks πŸ™‚
