A Handsome Fellow

Here is the fellow

I met yesterday,

I don’t know his name,

He didn’t say.

But he was so handsome,

So elegant was he,

I quietly admired him,

Or was he a she?

Can somebody tell me – is he a partridge?  And is he a he or a she?

    I thinks he is a pheasant too and that it is a he, by his colorful feathers 😁

    Agreed, he/she is lovely. I had a look at Pheasant / Grouse / Partridge and I really can’t make up my mind, but she/she is interesting.

      I think Animalista Untamed got it – I didn’t recognise him because he is juvenile – a male pheasant but without all his colours yet. I’ve never seen one at this stage before and he is so beautiful isn’t he? 😀
