The Second Giveaway: Luke Walker’s PRIVUT NOTEBOOK

Luke Walker (animal stick up for-er) is a very resourceful chap, so when he decided he needed a notebook to record all his outlaw activities, and he didn’t have any money to buy one, he just made use of an exercise book Mrs Tebbut gave him because he knew maths was a waste of time.

vegan book for children

This notebook has very private, secret things in it but Luke is willing to share it with other veggietareun outlaws who join his secret sersiety.  Every sersiety member should have one!

Each new member can add their name to the first page if they agree to the pledge.

There’s lots of important information in it,

including how to make a code-maker/code-breaker,

plus lots of empty space for other outlaws to make their own contributions.  Luke’s lined it for you.

All secret coded messages can be written at the back of the book.  Members will be able to decode it when they’ve made their own code-breaker.

We have two of Luke Walker’s notebooks to give away 😀 Let me know if you want one, the draw will be on Thursday.  You’ve got two days: GO! 😉

The Final Giveaway: How Many Friends Could A Bibbolybob Make If A Bibbolybob Came To Earth? THE LITTLE EDITION

The fourth and final of our Honestly Books giveaways is very similar to the first – How Many Friends Could A Bibbolybob Make If A Bibbolybob Came To Earth? – but it’s a little one!  It turns out that this early learning title, by Edward Benn and Juliet Mahoney, has been so popular that Honestly Books decided to release a miniature second edition.  Well it’s not that tiny – just about the size of a standard paperback – but it’s not as big as the great big first edition 😀

Anyway, let’s get to the point.  Apart from it’s size, this has everything the first one had: a cute story with cute animal characters, a cute alien visitor and an introduction to numbers for little children.  Look here for our review 🙂

If you would like to win a copy of this dainty little picture book, just comment on this post and you will be entered into Friday’s draw 🙂 It’s your last chance to win so good luck!

For those not lucky enough to win one of these lovely books, of course you can find them all on Amazon 🙂

Giveaway Number 3 Winner!

children's book winner

The lucky winner of our 3rd Honestly Books giveaway, What’s Good For The Goose Is Not Good For The Panda by Lavender Laine, is B Mackela

Congratulations Bill 🙂 Give us your address via our contact form on the About page and we will get the book to you as soon as possible.

There now remains only one more chance to win!  The final book of our Honestly Books stash, the little Bibbolybob book, will go into the draw next week. Look out for Monday’s post to enter 😀

Children’s Books Giveaways!

We’re very excited!  Honestly Books are so happy with our reviews of their books (see here) that they’ve sent us a selection to giveaway to our readers! 😀

children's books giveaway

So, here’s what we’re going to do – starting tomorrow we’ll give away one book a week to a lucky prize draw entrant anywhere in the world.  All you have to do is comment on the giveaway post, letting me know you want to enter.

Come back tomorrow when I will announce which book will be the first giveaway 😀

Christmas is coming …. I wonder to whom Father Christmas will be bringing a lovely new book 😉

Only a few hours left to enter the prize draw!

rescue rabbit

If you live in the UK and you’d like to adopt this little cutie, just think of a name for him or her and let me know in a comment on this or that post.

All suggested names (with name of suggester) will be put into a box tomorrow morning and one will be drawn out.

I’ll let you know then who the winner is 😀

Good luck 😀

NB: this secondhand soft toy has been rescued from Raystede charity shop and is hoping to find a loving new home.

Name the Bunny!

Rescue rabbits

Lovely rabbits

With natural habits

Need spacious homes

With other rabbits.

If you’ve got love

And space for rabbits,

Don’t pay breeders

Hell no!  Dagnabbit!

So many need homes,

Save rescue rabbits!

At Raystede Animal Welfare Centre in East Sussex they take in around 1500 animals every year who need to be found new homes.  They work hard to make sure that each animal is matched up with the right family to give them the best new chance in life and they provide advice on how to take the best care of the animals.

This is undoubtedly the case for so many animal rescue organisations which is why it’s so important, if we are able to provide a happy home for a companion animal, that we rehome abandoned, neglected, rescued animals rather than buy from breeders and perpetuate the problem.

The chap pictured at the top of this post is, like other rabbits rescued by Raystede, looking for a new home.

He is such a sweetheart and anyone from the UK wishing to adopt him should comment on this post suggesting a name for him.  Then, on Friday, we will put all the suggested names in a box and draw out a winner.  The rescued bunny will be trusted to the loving care of the lucky prize winner to whom he will be promptly delivered 😀

Only 2 and a half days left

Christmas Giveaway!

Well Fed Not an Animal Dead

Miranda and I are delighted to be able to give away a new copy of the brilliant Well Fed Not an Animal Dead

Remember I recommended it a few weeks ago? (See here )  Well, I ordered a couple of copies for Christmas presents and got a free one thrown in.  So, I would like to give it away to one of you lovely people.

Now, if you don’t already have a copy of this book, you’re going to want one – it’s full of brilliant recipes and vegan lifestyle advice and information – so go on, enter this prize draw!

All you have to do is comment on this post, telling me you want to enter.  We will put the names of all the entrants in a box and pick one out on Saturday, so you’ve got until Friday the 19th of December 23:59 GMT (2014 of course 😉 ) to enter.

This is open to anyone, anywhere.  Good luck! 😀

Last but not least …. ‘Big Blue Sky’ Giveaway!

vegan children's story

It seemed appropriate to leave this one ’til now because inevitably people will start thinking ahead to Christmas once September gets here.  And really, Big Blue Sky is a pre-Christmas story as opposed to a Christmas story because, since people tend to order their turkeys early, if they’re buying direct from the farmer, it would be good if they read this beforehand.

Anyway, if you fancy a copy for yourself or someone else, why not enter the Goodreads Giveaway?

Good luck 🙂

Win a copy of Vegan Nursery Rhymes!

vegan nursery rhymes

On the advice of the lovely Heena of The Reading Bud, we have joined Goodreads and that has led us to the fun of giveaways!

Goodreads provides authors with the opportunity of promoting newly published work by offering the chance to win a free copy to members who enter a prize draw.  Of course we couldn’t wait to join in so we have listed our 5 new paperbacks, one by one, for a giveaway.

First up is Vegan Nursery Rhymes.  It’s easy to sign up with Goodreads  if you’re not already a member and then, if you would like to try to win a free copy of the book, signed by Miranda and myself 😉 , you can enter here

The closing date for entries is 26th of August.

I’ll keep you posted each time a new giveaway listing of our books goes up and also when the closing date is approaching.

Good luck 😀
