I bought a package of 12 bamboo toothbrushes! I’m so excited to get them in the mail. Thank you for spreading environmental mindfulness. ❤

Good idea – buying them in bulk 🙂 It’s great to find another plastic item we can do without isn’t it? 😀

Absolutely! 🙂 I also drink water out of a glass bottle now. And anytime I do use plastic, I make sure to recycle.
Funny story today… I literally geeked out when noticing that the plastic cup that was used for my smoothie was 100% biodegradable. 😀 Guess it isn’t too funny, but such things excite me like a child. Haha

Ha ha ha, I am exactly the same! It feels so good to use something harmless! 😀

It most definitely does! 🙂 I’m slowly but surely becoming totally vegan. The only reason it has taken me a while is because I’m allergic to gluten, soy, and corn so I have to find ways to maintain a healthy weight (I’m slightly underweight now) when I make the total transition. However, I do look for more ethical companies to buy from for the time being. Your blog is a huge motivator and inspiration for me. So thanks for that. ❤

That’s wonderful, thank you 🙂 It will be easier if you stick to making your own meals from scratch. We used to eat a lot of ready made vegan sausages, burgers, pies etc which are wall to wall soya and wheat, but since making recipes with lentils and beans and other vegetables we have lost interest in those things and love the amazing flavourful meals we make with real ingredients 🙂

5.45 am. I don’t usually get up so early but I was just laying in bed awake and the boys (dogs) kept coming in and out and jumping on the bed so I thought, “might as well be blogging” 🙂

Lol, that’s very early indeed. Can you believe I sometimes stay up that “late?” It’s easier for me to blog on the go now because I have the WordPress App. ^_^

wordpress app? On your phone? So what are you doing while you’re blogging? Sorry, I’m keeping you up, isn’t it bedtime young lady? 😉

Yes! It’s a handy thing to have, but it can also be very bad when I have other work to do, lol. No worries — You’re not keeping me up, my bedtime has been 3am for a while now. Besides blogging & writing poetry, I love to bike, meditate, do yoga, read, draw… most of my time is spent writing & reading, though. 😀 What about you??

Most of my time is spent on drawing the comics which I love doing so I’m extremely fortunate – colouring in is my favourite, most relaxing pastime. But when nothing new is coming to mind, like now, I work in other ways on the site – like adding the new music page thanks to you. Other than that I’m doing normal homey things like cooking and baking, knitting, walking the dogs and recently, I’m very excited to say, we’ve embarked on an allotment adventure of attempting to grow our own fruit and vegetables 🙂

Your blog is one of my favorites, to be honest. It’s so vibrant. Sounds like you utilize your time wisely! The last part is especially exciting. My dream is to have a huge garden with all the colors of the rainbow represented. 😀

Thank you so much, that really does mean the world to me. I think you and I are on the same wavelength – my dream is like yours, to live self sufficiently in a log cabin in the woods with enough space to grow everything we need 😀 Really nice talkin’ to ya Eva 🙂

I ordered mine on Amazon ages ago and I am still waiting for my bamboo toothbrushes. That is a cute puppet show. 🙂

Oh no! You see, they’re so good that someone pinched them! Amazon will refund you so you can try again 😀

Another timely post for us 🙂 We just watched the Plastic Paradise documentary about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch last night, and the kids noted that our toothbrushes are made of plastic. The Bamboo Toothbrush is undoubtedly a more responsible way to brush!

They are great. Of course they can be reused for cleaning etc, once they’re no good for cleaning your teeth but then, when they’re really good for nothing, they can be composted. Even the bristles are made of some kind of plant cellulose that’s compostable 🙂

That’s actually something I should really get. The idea of putting all this plastic in your mouth everyday is not exactly thrilling anyway… 😉

I know what you mean. We get our bamboo toothbrushes from a local health food store so maybe you could do that too. Or if not, you can order them online 🙂

It’s always great to be reminded of all the small things that one usually doesn’t even think about. I even have a link to a website offering bamboo toothbrushes saved, but then I forgot about it again. It’s high time to make use of it! Thanks for this “reminder”. 🙂

🙂 Love it 🙂 Ahhh, so many things I didn’t even think about! Although most of our old toothbrushes are recycled as cleaning tools… it’s still something for me to consider! 🙂 Thank you!
